The studio
A Jaipur studio.A considered approach.
dreaminc is an interior architecture studio in Jaipur. We see interiors not as surfaces applied to rooms, but as the construction of the rooms themselves. We work on houses, retreats and small galleries across India — slowly, in teams of two or three, with drawings made by hand before anything is modelled.
The studio keeps deliberately small so that a principal draws on every project, and so that no room is ever handed over.
Naren Soni
Founder & Principal
Naren studied architecture in Ahmedabad and spent his first decade measuring old buildings — havelis, stepwells, courtyard houses — to understand why their proportions still hold. That habit of measuring became the studio’s method.
He leads every commission from observation through detail, and still keeps the office pencil sharpener.
Process — five movements

Observation
Weeks on site before a single line. Light, wind, noise, neighbours.

Reduction
Removing until the plan hurts — then once more.

Material
Samples live in the real room, through a real season.

Light
Every opening drawn at solstice and again at equinox.

Detail
The last millimetre is where a building keeps its promises.
